1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HalalPlate website (https://halal-plate.truxio.bond), interactive mapping tools, and community services operated by H M Jubair Alam and the Islamic Digital Initiative ("HalalPlate", "we", "our", or "us").

2. Halal Verification & Diner Responsibility Disclaimer

Critical Halal Verification Notice

HalalPlate is an educational, journalistic, and community-assisted directory. While our audit team conducts rigorous multi-tier checks—including inspecting supplier delivery notes, checking certificates with issuing bodies (e.g. HMC, HFA), and interviewing management—third-party restaurants and abattoirs operate independently.

Restaurants may alter their meat purveyors, abattoir suppliers, head chefs, cooking oils, or menu recipes at any time without notifying HalalPlate or updating their public marketing materials.

Therefore, the ultimate responsibility for verifying current halal status rests with each individual diner. In accordance with Islamic jurisprudential principles of personal caution (*Ihtiyat*):

3. User Submissions & Community Contributions

HalalPlate allows users and restaurant proprietors to submit new dining recommendations, suggest amendments, upload photographs, and claim listings.

When you submit any information to HalalPlate:
